John D. Cimino

It is with great sadness that the family of John D. Cimino Jr. "Johnny Dogs" 55, announce his sudden passing on April 9th, 2018 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Most of John's childhood years were spent in Woodlyn, Pa, after high school John opened John's Deli in Lansdowne, and a decade later he moved to Ocean City, NJ where John seasonally managed a store on the boardwalk at The Promenade. As his family grew, he returned to Delaware County full time where he operated Johnny Dogs in Folsom prior to becoming sick.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa A. Cimino, and their four children, Giovanna, Gabriella, Johnny III, and Dante; three siblings (two sisters and one brother) Helen Wyatt, Nick Cimino, and Andrea Cimino and her husband Freddy Tafankaji; and many nieces and nephews/great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by both parents Vera Mae and John Cimino.

Many remember Johnny Dogs in his track suits, sunglasses, and vintage hats playing poker at any casino he could get to. He loved to constantly crack jokes and play pranks on people whether he knew them or not. He was always dancing to any music that was on, but loved his oldies the most which is a trait he passed on to both of his sons. He loved attending his kids' school events and would always be there cheering them on and showing the pride he had for them. He was definitely one of a kind and was more than proud to be that way.

A celebration of John's life will take place on Saturday April 14th at Our Lady of Fatima's Church located at 1 Fatima Drive Secane, PA 19018. Family and friends are welcome to come visit beginning at 9 a.m. and the Funeral Service will follow promptly at 11 a.m. After the funeral service, the burial of John will commence at Fernwood Cemetary 6501 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050.
