Tuesday, January 9, 2018Dear Davis family, I am so very sorry for your loss. This world is a little less brighter without Glenn. Mr. Davis was such a special man. Your family means so much to me. I will forever have memories of playing in the woods at Shady Oaks, the CD collection, Mr. D’s encouraging words during our high school sport games, the kind, humble, sincere, funny & caring nature he approached life with, and the goodness & fun he passed along to my dear friend, Jen. He lived life fully & left those of us that adore him with wanting him still here to continue his adventures & share his passions. I prayed that my brother has welcomed Glenn into Heaven. Your families are in my thoughts & prayers. With deepest sympathy, Jen

I actually used to hang with his sister Cindy I just want to say if it wasn't for Glen I would have never started riding my bike like I do today Glenn has given me the inspiration to show that you can do anything if you try as of today I can ride my bike at least 18 miles a day on a good day thank you Glenn for all your inspiration you have changed my life I love you and I will miss you to one of the nicest guys I've ever known Glen Davis

Thursday, January 4, 2018Ashley and I met Glenn while camping off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Glenn had ridden up from Cherokee and Ashley invited him to join us at our campsite. We talked for a while that night and he had breakfast with us the next morning. He told us about the Warmshowers program for cyclists. We became friends and kept in touch with FB. Glenn came and visited us here in KY. He rode bikes with us that night to dinner and spent the night here. We thought of him as a good friend and are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. From what I can tell he lived a full life and had a lot of friends! If we can all achieve that then we did okay. RIP my friend.

Wednesday, January 3, 2018"I'll Keep You In My Heart" (with poetic license from Warren Zevon) Shadows are falling and you're running out of breath I'll keep you in my heart for awhile If you leave me, it doesn't mean you loved me any less I'll keep you in my heart for awhile When I get up in the morning and hear that crazy song I'll keep you in my heart for awhile There's a train leaving nightly called when all is said and done I'll keep you in my heart for awhile Sometimes when I'm doing simple things around the house Maybe I'll think of you and smile I know I'm tied to you like the buttons on my radio I'll keep you in my heart for awhile I'll hold you in my thoughts, dream of folk fests of past, pass a beer as you fall into view When the winter comes, I'll keep the beer cold and I will be right next to you Engine driver's headed north to Steamboat Springs I'll keep you in my heart for awhile These bicycle wheels keep turning but they're running out of steam I'll keep you in my heart for awhile
