Obituary of Anthony Steele

Anthony Steele was born on 28 January 1963 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Barbara Steele Davis. He departed this life on Sunday, 4 February 2018.

Tony, as he was affectionately called, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA where he attended elementary and middle schools. The family later moved to Somerdale, NJ where he attended and graduated from Eastern High School.

Tony was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and served his country from August 1980—December 1991 during which he served in combat at Desert Storm in Kuait, (1990-1991) achieving the rank of Sergeant (E-5).

Tony was employed as Operations Support Analyst at Porsche Motors in Atlanta, GA and formerly employed as Desk-top Applications Analyst at Ultimate Software in Atlanta, GA

Tony was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Conversa-tions were mostly about sports and the Marines! He was a devoted family man who enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Steele Davis and brother Everette Orlando Steele. He is survived by his loving wife Eboney, sons Mark- Anthony, Brodderick, and daughter Dasia-Nicole, step-father Larry Davis, Sr, siblings Barbara A. Steele II, Willie Michael Steele, Larry L Davis, Jr and Lynn Davis; father-in-law Gary Williams, Sr brother-in-law Gary Williams, Jr, sister-in-law Ashley West; nephews Tyler Steele, Justin Steele, Devon Steele, Aaron Steele and Larry Davis, III; nieces Aliya Steele, and Erika Davis; aunts Maxine Baxter , Eva Royalston , Betty Royalston-Scott, Shirley Williams, Barbara Epps; uncles Malachi Baxter, Lindsey Williams, Leon L Scott, Sr; 1st cousins Michelle Baxter, Marla Baxter, Michael Baxter, Marc Baxter, Morris Baxter, Belynda Brown-Nelson, Broderick Brown, Charles (Chuck) Columbus, LaTrease McClary, Leon L Scott, Jr , Elisa "Peachy" Scott , Robbin Royalston, Gary Williams, Kathy Williams, Kathy Davis, Andria Epps, Lester Campbell, Anthony Campbell, Yolanda Campbell, Lorraine Campbell and Carrie Campbell, a host of relatives and close family friends too numerous to mention here.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing and visitation on Saturday, February 17th 10-11am at EUGENE J. ZALE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 712 N. White Horse Pike, Stratford, NJ 08084. Funeral service 11am. Burial will be on Wednesday 12:30pm in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
