George W. Clark, age 91, of Stratford, NJ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 7, 2019. Born in Camden, NJ and raised in Moorestown, NJ, George was a World War II Naval Veteran, a 37-year electrical engineer for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, a part-time real estate associate, a Board of Directors member for Camp HaLuWaSa in Hammonton, NJ for more than three decades, President of the Trustees Board at his local church for more than two decades, President of the Stratford Board of Health and member of the Stratford Land-Use Committee for many years, Past-President of the Sterling Kiwanis Club, private pilot, avid golfer, loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, and model train enthusiast. However, above and beyond these accolades and accomplishments, his most important priority in life was his love for God and for his wife Elinor, his soulmate for more than 67 years. He is survived by her and the Godly legacy that they created, which produced three children; Barbara (Dennis) Danylak, Deborah, and David (Kim), six grandchildren; Rebekah, Sarah, Michael, Suzanne, Christopher, and Rachel, and four great-grandchildren; Julia, Caleb, Hendrik, and Lucie Grace.
Following a private family internment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ, friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 15th at Laurel Hill Bible Church, 1260 Blackwood-Clementon Road, Clementon, NJ 08021, where a "Celebration of Life Service" will be held in his honor immediately following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in his name to either Community Bible Church in Barrington, NJ or to Camp HaLuWaSa in Hammonton, NJ.
