Obituary of Edwin L. Farmer II

Edwin Lee Farmer II, of Blackwood, New Jersey, died of complications from Covid-19 on Sunday, October 24, 2021. While he spent his business career a business owner and engineer, his lifelong passion was music. His guitars were his constant companions. He had a recording studio and 15 guitars in his basement, and one next to his chair at all times. During his 20 years as a professional musician, Ed was a member of Sound Apparatus and Billy Harner and the Expressions. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife Janice attended Holmes Presbyterian Church, where he performed Christmas music along with his children and grandchildren. Ed is survived by his wife Janice (Stites) of nearly 61 years; his children Edwin Lee III (Elizabeth Morinelli) and Leeann McCullough (John); and his grandchildren Conner, Brandon, Eddie IV (Kasia), Christopher, Colin and Katie. He is also survived by his sister Betty Diekewicz and brothers Fred (Kathy) and Dave (Cathy), sister-in-law Jean Zegrino, cousins Kenny and Chrissy Stites and many other cousins and "adopted" family along with friends of his children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial gathering on Thursday, October 28th 9-11am at Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home, 712 N. White Horse Pike, Stratford, NJ 08084. Memorial service will follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
