Obituary of Stanton Kent
Stanton Kent of Laurel Springs, NJ, age 72, passed away from natural causes on May 18, 2022. Stan was born in Bayonne, NJ and grew up in Gloucester City. He was an only child and is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Anne Kent, and is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, and his children Kristin (Daniel) and Scott (Samantha) along with his grandchildren Jason, Ava and Nathaniel. Stan and Lee married in 1979 and moved to Laurel Springs in 1980 where they raised their family. He worked as a mechanical engineer until his early 50s. During his career, he received several patents for his designs. When his employer closed, Stan decided to pursue a career as a crafter, designing stained glass windows, fused glass creations and copper artwork along with photography and jewelry design. This second career lasted into his 60s until he retired. Stan was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family at the lake, pool or ocean and attending their sporting events. He also enjoyed cooking and playing video games, which helped him pass the time as his health declined. Stan also was a great doggy dad to Buffy and Lucy, who is still walking around the house looking for him. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation followed by a memorial service on Saturday, June 11th beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Zales Funeral Home in Stratford, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Animal Adoption Center in Lindenwold, NJ.
