Obituary of John Nicholls

February 14, 1964 – June 14, 2018

John James Nicholls, Jr.

On June 14th, 2018, 54, of Stratford, NJ. Beloved son of the late James and Mary (nee Monaco). Survived by loving cousins Bob Egan (Sandi), the late Jack Egan and his son Jack, Madison Vincent, Gail Balint, Jane Truax, Don Truax (Beth), Candace Kupchinski and Virginia Heffner. Also survived by many dear friends.

John graduated from Sterling High School in 1982.

John had a heart of gold and anything you needed, he was there to help. If you wanted to talk, John would always listen, no judgment. He also had a completely weird sense of humor and was always joking.

John absolutely loved anything vintage especially kitchen stuff. You would always find him watching old television shows and he could remember all the old-time actor's names. 80's music was his favorite and watch out if a song came on the jukebox; John could cut the rug like the best of them. John was also a lovely artist and calligrapher.

John was an accomplished gardener. His yard was the most beautiful on the block. He knew every flower, plant, and tree, and made sure his property looked impeccable.

John loved decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween (Rats) and took pride in decorating not only his home but where ever he worked.

John was a longtime employee of Hank's Bar and Grill in Camden and recently was working at the Little Spot Tavern in Somerdale.

John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday 10-11am at EUGENE J. ZALE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 712 N. White Horse Pike, Stratford, NJ 08084. PH (856) 783-5100. Memorial service 11am. Interment private.
