George "Tony" Franklin Johnson, age 70, went to his eternal home, peacefully, on Friday, June 18, 2021, of natural causes. George was a Christian, and firm believer in his religion. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior. George was the son of late Lillian Lee Gibson and Albert Johnson. George was born on June 19, 1950, in Saluda, South Carolina. Shortly after, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Thomas Edison High School, formerly on Lehigh Avenue. George married the love of his life, Frances S. Gilbert-Johnson, on October 10, 1969 in Camden, New Jersey at the Justice of Peace. George and Frances resided in Camden, New Jersey, and that's where they birthed two children, their son Antonio and daughter Kahala. In 1985, George and Frances moved themselves and their children to Magnolia, New Jersey for a fresh start at life as a family. George enjoyed spending time with his family, with his grandchildren, and he loved to watch sports. George was a Navy Veteran. He had worked for over 35 years, prior to his retirement due to an injury. With his military experience and all his years of work taught him self-discipline, structure, and gave him and his family stability. George had the blessing of having a huge family to share life with. He leaves behind his wife, Frances. His son Antonio, daughter-in-law, Shawn. His daughter, Kahala, and son-in-law, Carlton. His grandchildren, Keisha "KeeKee," Taquanda "Coco," Tianna "Shack," Tamia "Meme," and Chris. Great grandchildren, Camryn, Chance, and Ava. Brother-in-laws, late James, Garland, Leroy, Eugene, Robert, Lawrence, late Scott, Paul, late Skeet, Artia, and Gerston. Sister-in-laws, late Mary, Jacqueline, Pat, Gloria, Cheryl, Teresa, and Marie, late Juanita, Phyllis, late Elaine, and Joyce. His brothers, late Junior, Linwood, Ray, Larry. His sisters, Vicky, Diane, JoyceAnne, and late Debbie. Brother-in-laws, Billy, Robert, and late Jeffrey. Along with a host of other family and friends. Sorrowfully Submitted, The Family
