Obituary of Joseph W. Thomas

Born January 23, 1981

Yeah, when I get where I'm going there'll only be happy tears,I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all these years, And I will leave my heart wide open. I will love and have no fear. Yeah, when I get where I'm going don't cry for me down here.

Sadly, Joseph passed away from our lives unexpectedly on June 26, 2021. Joseph was the beloved son of Catherine Hoechst (nee Thomas) and stepfather Theodore Hoechst Sr. Son of the late Robert Howard. Loved brother of Nicole Thomas, Sarah Pena (nee Hoechst), Caroline Hoechst, Samantha Robinson, stepbrothers Theodore Hoechst Jr., and Benjamin Hoechst. He was cherished greatly by his late grandparents, Clyde & Josephine Thomas. Joseph also leaves behind his loving uncles William T. Thomas, Thomas J.Thomas, as well as his aunt Heather Pontano (Thomas), along with countless adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joseph grew up in Glassboro, NJ and graduated from Glassboro High School. He also attended Rowan University, before finding his calling as an EMT, where his kindness and compassion shined. He was a member of Monroe Twp. E.M.S. for 5 years, before moving to Wisconsin. There he enjoyed the freedom of being an Uber & Lyft driver.
